Magnitude 3.1 Earthquake Strikes Midelt Province in Morocco, Second Tremor in Days

The province of Midelt recorded a seismic shock on Thursday, with a magnitude of 3.1 degrees on the Richter scale, according to the National Institute of Geophysics (ING).
The earth has trembled again in Midelt, in the space of a few days. According to the MAP, which cites the National Institute of Geophysics (ING), the epicenter of the shock is located in the commune of En-Nzala.
In a seismic alert bulletin, the National Seismic Monitoring and Alert Network of the ING specifies that the shock occurred at 02:16:08 (GMT+1). The felt shock is at a depth of 4 km, and at a latitude of 32.581°N and a longitude of 4.244°W.
Last Sunday, two seismic shocks were recorded in this same province of Midelt. The first, with a magnitude of 5.3 degrees on the Richter scale, occurred at 09:39:07 (GMT+1). The second, with a magnitude of 5.1 degrees, was felt at 15:39:06 (GMT+1).
But before these, a seismic shock with a magnitude of 4 degrees on the Richter scale had also been recorded in the province of Khénifra on October 8.
