Magnitude 4.9 Earthquake Shakes Northern Morocco’s Taounate Province

Northern Morocco recorded a slight seismic shock of 4.9 degrees, according to the National Institute of Geophysics (ING).
In a seismic alert bulletin, the National Seismic Monitoring and Alert Network of the institute specifies that the shock occurred in the province of Taounate at 7:06:42 AM (GMT+1). The felt shock has a depth of 05 km, a latitude of 34.402°N and a longitude of 4.756°W.
To recall, Morocco recorded, on Sunday, May 31, a new seismic shock with a magnitude of 3.7 degrees on the Richter scale in the province of Khémisset.
