Local Government Services Continue: Signature Legalization and Document Certification Available Nationwide

The Directorate General of Local Authorities (DGCT) has invited the public to continue to request its services in terms of legalization of signatures and certification of true copies at the level of all local authorities.
The directorate, through this message, intends to dispel any confusion regarding the continuity of the operation of the services authorized to process documents and acts governing the relationship of users with the private sector. These include banks, credit companies, private companies, or transactions between individuals, such as sales, rental or other contracts, in compliance with the laws and regulations in force.
It should be recalled that Law 55.19 on the simplification of administrative procedures and formalities has made several changes to improve the relationship between the administration and the user. This administrative reform spares the user many hassles previously encountered to legalize the signature on documents constituting the file of a request for an administrative act. The other novelty is that the user is no longer required to present certified copies of documents.
This last provision only concerns administrative acts issued by the central public administration, a public institution, a legal person under public law, an entity in charge of a public service or a local authority.
