Lionesses of Atlas Face Defending Champions in World Cup Showdown

After two defeats against Brazil (0-3) and Italy (1-3), Morocco managed to qualify for the first time in its history for the round of 16 of the U17 Women’s World Cup by defeating Costa Rica (3-1). After this triumph, the Lionesses of the Atlas will cross swords with North Korea. Three-time world champions and defending title holders, this team has accumulated three consecutive victories against Mexico, the Netherlands and Cameroon since the beginning of the competition.
