Libya Repatriates First Group of Moroccan Migrants Amid Ongoing Crisis

Seven Moroccan illegal immigrants were able to return home to Morocco. The Libyan Department of Combating Illegal Immigration announced this on Thursday. More than 30 Moroccan illegal immigrants detained in Libya had urgently requested to be repatriated, given the difficult conditions in which they live in the country.
These seven Moroccan migrants "managed to return to their country, Morocco, on Wednesday evening, by plane, from Misrata International Airport to Tunis-Carthage International Airport and then to Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca."
The rest of the "Moroccan illegal immigrants will return to Morocco in successive groups each day until next Saturday."
"The return of Moroccan illegal immigrants, who were rescued in the Mediterranean while heading, on board death boats, towards the European coasts, comes after they obtained provisional travel documents in cooperation with the Moroccan authorities," specified the Libyan Department of Combating Illegal Immigration.
