Legendary Amazigh Singer Mustapha Chater Critically Ill, Needs Urgent Heart Surgery

The leader of the legendary Amazigh song group, Izenzaren, is hospitalized in critical condition at the University Center of Marrakech. His life depends on a surgical intervention whose cost would exceed his financial means.
Very well known on the artistic scene, Mustapha Chater’s friends have launched on social networks, an appeal for the collection of funds in order to allow him to undergo the operation as soon as possible.
Following a heart attack, the singer had been admitted urgently, last Wednesday, in a clinic in Agadir, where the doctors had recommended him to undergo heart surgery.
Through their appeal, his relatives and acquaintances hope to receive a gesture from the Ministry of Health, especially since the artist is an icon of the song who has given so much to the Amazigh heritage.
Latest news, the singer’s hospitalization costs would have been taken care of by the Minister of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries, Aziz Akhennouch.
