Lebanese Engineer Appeals to Moroccan King for Citizenship, Citing Deep Cultural Ties

Deeply attached to Morocco, an electrical and computer engineer of Lebanese origin has launched an appeal to King Mohammed VI to obtain Moroccan nationality.
This love for the kingdom is not the result of chance, according to the engineer, but due to "my emotional and moral attachment to the values of the country, to your civilization, your social bases and regimes as well as to the way of life of the Moroccan people," he said in his appeal.
The Lebanese national claims that he holds a doctorate in electrical and computer engineering, a Master’s degree in computer and telecommunications engineering obtained at an American university, in addition to the first-class Legion of Honor.
Married to a Moroccan woman, and a happy father since last April, the Lebanese engineer had obtained Malian nationality in 2012, following his engineering work for the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
