King Mohammed VI Urges Crackdown on Price Manipulation in Morocco

In his speech addressed to the Moroccans on the occasion of the Throne Feast, King Mohammed VI called for an effective fight against speculation and price manipulation.
Mohammed VI takes a dim view of this trend that some sellers have, who, pursuing their own interests, manipulate prices and maintain speculation that puts the rest of the population in difficulty in these times of high prices and economic difficulties. "These actions must be fought," the King affirmed.
Taking advantage of the solemnity of this occasion, the king recalled that all Moroccans must play their role as the State and certain professionals in the public and private sectors are already doing in order to allow the national economy to withstand the current uncertainties in the agricultural and other production sectors.
