King Mohammed VI Pardons 483 Prisoners for Eid Al Fitr in Morocco

On the occasion of the celebration of Eid Al Fitr, King Mohammed VI granted a pardon to 483 people, some of whom were in detention and others at liberty. These former prisoners had been sentenced by various courts in the kingdom.
In a press release, the Ministry of Justice specified the identity of the 483 beneficiaries of this royal pardon. Among them, 378 detainees benefited from the remission of the sentence of imprisonment or confinement.
Of the 105 beneficiaries of the royal pardon who are at liberty, 29 detainees were pardoned on the sentence of imprisonment or its remainder against 16 detainees on the sentence of imprisonment with maintenance of the fine.
As for the pardon on the fine, there are a total of 59 detainees against one who benefited from the pardon on the sentence of imprisonment and fine.
It should be recalled that the King of Morocco had pardoned 5,654 detainees as part of the fight against the covid-19 pandemic.
