King Mohammed VI of Morocco Reportedly Arrives in Gabon for Private Visit

King Mohammed VI is said to have arrived on Monday morning in Libreville, Gabon, aboard his private jet.
Sources cited by the website Matin d’Afrique claim that the Moroccan sovereign then joined his private residence located in Pointe-Denis. "It is in this seaside resort that the King of Morocco will spend Christmas, in the company of a few close relatives," the site writes.
This visit comes as Gabonese President Ali Bongo is currently in Morocco for his convalescence following a stroke that occurred on October 24 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Analysts believe, according to "Matin d’Afrique", that King Mohammed VI could use this visit to "conduct negotiations with certain political leaders with a view to the imminent formation of an open government".
