King Mohammed VI of Morocco Plans First Post-Pandemic Visit to Sudan

Six months after the appearance of the Covid-19 pandemic, King Mohammed VI is preparing to make his first trip abroad. The Sovereign could travel to Sudan as soon as the health situation allows.
The King of Morocco is expected in Khartoum, the Sudanese capital, in the near future. For now, no information has leaked about the schedule of the royal visit.
It was during a recent meeting between the head of the Sudanese Ministerial Council, Abdellah Hamdouk, and the Moroccan ambassador to Khartoum that the outlines of the royal visit to Sudan were drawn, adds the media, without specifying the exact date.
To recall, the President of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit, had recently requested the services of Abdellatif Hammouchi, in order to reorganize his internal security office.
Note that the king’s last trip to Africa dates back to November last year. He had traveled to Côte d’Ivoire for a private visit of a few days only.
