King Mohammed VI Expresses Frustration Over Delayed Casablanca Development Projects

During a visit last week to Casablanca, King Mohammed VI showed his displeasure towards some officials in the city. The newspaper Al Massae gives today some details of this royal anger that could lead to some heads rolling.
The sovereign was not at all satisfied with the progress of some development projects that he himself had launched or those under the INDH that he intended to inaugurate during this visit, the newspaper reports.
Al Massae also advances that Mohammed VI made several outings in the economic capital to personally inquire about ongoing projects, but most of them are experiencing serious delays, which could lead to sanctions against certain officials. The newspaper cites for example the territorial administration, some local elected officials or directors of development agencies who did not respect the deadlines set.
There is also the question of the "Casa Aménagement" company, which has a budget of some 26 billion dirhams for the development of the city, or the territorial administration as well as other development companies that could see some heads roll in the coming weeks.
