King Mohammed VI to Appoint New Officials in Major Moroccan Government Reshuffle

King Mohammed VI is expected to preside over a Council of Ministers at the royal palace in Casablanca at the beginning of next week. More than 50 executives will be appointed within the public administrations, as well as new governors, Walis and ambassadors.
In accordance with the royal directives issued during the throne speech, the Head of Government, Saâdeddine El Othmani, will present the Sovereign with new profiles likely to be assigned to positions of responsibility within national institutions, the Akhbarona website reports.
To this end, and with the aim of injecting new blood, a change within the administrative structures of the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion and the Office Chérifien des Phosphates could particularly concern the site directors and those of the central administration.
The website adds that the majority of the skills proposed for positions of responsibility come from the private sector, stressing that for the first time, candidates from this sector have applied for the competitions opened by the various ministries.
