Kickboxing Champion Verhoeven Demands December Showdown with Hari, Threatens to Leave Glory

Rico Verhoeven has had enough of waiting. The Dutch champion demands a fight against Badr Hari next December, otherwise he will not renew his contract with Glory.
Last week, Badr Hari, currently suspended for doping, had extended his contract with the kickboxing organization for three years. He will be able to get back into the ring before the end of the year.
Verhoeven claims he was not informed of Hari’s suspension. He didn’t even know he had tested positive during his fight against Hesdy Gerges in March 2018. But now that Hari has extended his contract, there is no longer any obstacle to a rematch.
"I want my next fight to be against Badr. If I calculate correctly, it will be possible in December. He will be able to fight again. And there is no longer any reason for Glory to wait. My last fight was last September. In December it will have been a year and three months since I haven’t fought," explains the kickboxer.
Badr Hari and Rico Verhoeven had faced each other for the first time in December 2016, but the Moroccan champion had been forced to withdraw due to an arm injury. Hari and Verhoeven had immediately agreed on a rematch.
