Jordan to Waive Visa Requirements for Moroccan Visitors

Jumana Ghunaimat, the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Morocco, announced that the authorities of her country plan to exempt Moroccans from visa requirements, in anticipation of the launch, within two months, of a direct air link between Amman and Rabat.
In a statement to the press, the ambassador recalled the strong ties of friendship between Kings Abdullah II and Mohammed VI, and the cooperation between Jordan and Morocco in various fields. Jumana Ghunaimat added that, in order to strengthen these ties between the two peoples, the Jordanian embassy in Rabat will soon organize cultural events.
The diplomat took the opportunity to reaffirm Jordan’s firm position in the face of attempts to expel Palestinians from Gaza, stressing that "her country cannot replace the Palestinian homeland." The Jordanian Ambassador to Rabat did not fail to salute Morocco’s efforts in favor of the Palestinian cause in Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip.
