Jordan’s King Abdullah II Receives Support from Morocco Amid Security Crackdown

King Mohammed VI spoke by telephone this Sunday morning with King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein of Jordan, where the authorities have resorted to rather strong decisions to guarantee security and stability.
In a statement, the royal cabinet indicates that during this telephone conversation between the two heads of state, the discussion was about the bilateral relations between the two countries, but above all the situation prevailing in Jordan, which led to the arrest of about twenty people and the ban on Prince Hamza Ben Hussein from leaving the palace.
King Mohammed VI reiterated to King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, his full and natural solidarity with sister Jordan and his total support for all the decisions taken to consolidate security and stability. According to the royal cabinet, "this telephone conversation comes in concretization of the strong historical and family ties uniting the two Sovereigns and the two Royal Families, and the ties between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples".
