Italy Greenlights Study for Morocco-Italy Green Hydrogen Pipeline

The Italian authorities have recently authorized the feasibility study of the pipeline project aimed at supplying the country with green hydrogen from Morocco.
The Italian government has approved the launch of this feasibility study for this ambitious cross-border pipeline project, also known as Transalpin, local sources have confirmed, noting that the proposal of Italian Democratic Party MP Débora Serracchiani has enabled this progress on this project. The document that has been approved calls for a comprehensive feasibility study on this pipeline to connect Morocco to the Italian region of Trieste.
"This is the first green light from the government for the allocation of resources to finance a feasibility study of the Green Corridor, dedicated to the transport of green hydrogen produced in Morocco and transiting through the port of Trieste as a logistics platform for energy raw materials distributed throughout central/eastern Europe via the Transalpine pipeline," said the Italian MP, stressing the importance of this first step marking the beginning of the implementation of the cooperation agreement recently signed between the Eastern Adriatic Sea Port System Authority and the Tanger Med Port Authority.
For Débora Serracchiani, Morocco is the "key destination in the Mediterranean for research and sustainability of energy processes thanks to green hydrogen, arousing the interest of investments from countries such as Germany an
