Israeli Soldiers Injured in Accident During ’African Lion’ Military Exercise in Morocco

A traffic accident that occurred in Morocco on Thursday involved two soldiers from the Israeli army. They were taking part in the multinational military maneuvers "African Lion," according to a statement from the Israeli military headquarters.
The soldiers involved are part of the parachute and air transport unit of the Marom brigade, says the Israeli army, which states it has informed the families of the two soldiers.
The Israeli army did not provide additional details regarding the causes of the collision or its exact location in Morocco. The incident required their hospitalization, with their condition being assessed as "moderate" by the medical teams on site, it simply specified.
The "African Lion" exercise is organized by the Royal Armed Forces of Morocco and the United States Africa Command (Africom). The 2025 edition brings together contingents from about twenty countries, including Israel, the United States, and several European and African nations, for tactical simulations taking place mainly in Tan-Tan, Agadir, Benguérir, and Tifnit.
