Israeli President Rivlin Meets Biden, UN Leaders in New York Visit

Israeli President Reuven Rivlin traveled to New York on Sunday, June 27 for a three-day visit, during which he met with U.S. President Joe Biden, the Moroccan Ambassador to New York, and many other personalities.
On the agenda for this visit are several meetings at the UN. On Tuesday, June 29, he will meet with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, 20 UN ambassadors, including from Russia, the United Kingdom, the United States, Bahrain and Morocco, reports The Jerusalem Post.
On Monday, Reuven Rivlin, who is making his fourth working visit to the United States, met with U.S. President Joe Biden. He had visited Washington in January 2015, November 2015 and November 2017, where he had met with the predecessors of the current White House occupant, Barack Obama and Donald Trump.
The Uncle Sam country is a major player in the normalization of diplomatic relations between the Hebrew state and the United Arab Emirates, Sudan, Bahrain and Morocco. The kingdom had normalized its relations with Israel in December last year in exchange for the American recognition of the Moroccanness of the Sahara.
The outgoing Israeli President is completing his visit tomorrow, Wednesday, June 30. Recently elected as the head of the country, Isaac Herzog, will succeed him in July as the 11th President of Israel.
