Israeli Defense Minister Gantz Honors Late Moroccan King During Landmark Visit

On an official visit to Morocco, the Israeli Minister of Defense, Benny Gantz, visited the Mausoleum of the late Mohamed V in Rabat, where he signed the guest book.
"The important visit to Morocco begins at the Mausoleum of Mohammed V in Rabat. I laid a wreath and wrote in the guest book. We will all work together for a better future and for partnership and peace between nations and peoples," Gantz wrote on his Twitter account.
In the guest book of the mausoleum, he wrote: "We seek their blessing and look to our common future - a moment when the bond between our peoples deepens and our nations unite to offer a shared vision of peace".
According to the program, the Israeli minister’s journey will take him respectively to the office of his Moroccan counterpart, Abdellatif Loudyi, Minister in charge of National Defense Administration. Then, to the office of Army Corps General Belkhir El Farouk, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces. Later, a tête-à-tête is planned with the Moroccan Foreign Minister, Nasser Bourita.
A series of visits aimed at strengthening the security and military cooperation between the Kingdom and the Hebrew State. This is evidenced by Gantz’s statements before his departure for Morocco.
We are making "an important trip to Morocco that has a historical touch, as it is the first formal visit of an Israeli Defense Minister to this country," he said, adding: "We will sign cooperation agreements and continue to strengthen our relations. It is very important that this trip be a success".
