Israeli Defense Firm Elbit Systems to Build $135 Million Ammunition Factory Abroad

The Israeli defense company Elbit Systems announced on Monday its intention to build a factory for the manufacture of weapon ammunition for an international client for about $135 million. Would it be Morocco?
The manufacturer said on Monday in a press release that it had obtained a contract of around $135 million to "build an artillery ammunition factory for an international client", without giving details on this "client". Last June, Elbit Systems had announced the upcoming establishment of two military equipment factories in Morocco. But no information in Monday’s press release suggests that it is the kingdom, according to Info Defensa.
In its note, the company has limited itself to specifying that this client will benefit from the "technical and operational expertise" accumulated by the company for decades in the field of ammunition production. Elbit Systems is facing "growing demand from governments around the world who want to improve their sovereign ammunition production capabilities," notes its CEO, Yehuda Vered.
