Israel’s BlueBird to Launch Drone Manufacturing Plant in Morocco

Morocco and Israel continue to strengthen their military cooperation. The Israeli company BlueBird Aero Systems, a subsidiary of Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), will soon launch its drone manufacturing plant in Morocco.
BlueBird should start its activities in Morocco in the near future, its CEO, Ronen Nadir, told Zona Militar. Since the normalization of their relations in 2020, within the framework of the Abraham Accords under the aegis of the United States, Morocco and Israel have strengthened their military cooperation.
The kingdom has acquired several defense systems and drones from Israel after the resumption of relations. And even before the Abraham Accords, the two countries secretly maintained "special defense relations," it is noted.
In February 2023, Morocco signed with Israel a $500 million agreement for the acquisition of the Barak MX air defense and anti-missile system, produced by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI). Two years earlier, in 2021, the kingdom had purchased the Skylock Dome anti-drone system from Israel. Recently, it has also acquired the SpyX drone.
