ISESCO Dismissals Spark Controversy: Moroccan Officials Urged to Intervene

The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) has thanked several of its former Moroccan employees. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nacer Bourita, has been seized.
In a written question, the deputies of the Socialist Party called on the minister to intervene urgently in order to do justice to the dozens of Moroccan employees, dismissed in an "abusive" manner by the Islamic Organization.
According to the site Achkayen, the decision, which came following the appointment of a new Director General, was motivated by a need for "development, renewal and rejuvenation" within ISESCO.
For the left-wing group, which questions the silence of the National Commission and the ministry, the abusive dismissal is nothing less than "a settling of scores with civil servants who used to work closely with the former Director of the Islamic Organization."
Created in May 1982, the Islamic organization, whose headquarters is in Rabat, aims to strengthen, deepen and encourage cooperation between member states in the field of education, science, culture and communication.
