Ireland to Open Embassy in Morocco, Expanding Diplomatic Presence in Africa

Soon an embassy of Ireland in the Kingdom. This diplomatic representation will strengthen the ties between Dublin and Rabat, but also with other countries in the African region.
This initiative of the Irish government aims to expand and deepen the presence of this country abroad. The Twitter account of the Irish Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces this opening for next year, after an initial project in June 2018 by Simon Coveney, the Irish Minister of Foreign Affairs.
"This is an integral part of Ireland’s post-Brexit diplomatic strategy, which has strengthened its diplomatic network within the EU, but also in countries that are of key strategic importance for the EU, which is clearly the case with Morocco," said Chloé Teevan, researcher at the European Center for Development Policy Management, in a statement to our colleagues at Middle East Online.
