Interpol Hunts for Stolen European Luxury Cars in Morocco

About ten luxury cars stolen in Europe and illegally introduced into Morocco are the subject of a search warrant issued by Interpol in consultation with the security services in Morocco.
According to the daily Al Massae, the agents of the prefectural judicial police service in Rabat have subjected officials and businessmen who have acquired cars worth more than 500,000 dirhams to thorough interrogations about their origin.
The control operations are generally carried out at police checkpoints at the entrance to cities, knowing that the agents have the registration numbers of all vehicles of dubious origin.
On the other hand, the services of the Royal Gendarmerie have managed to seize cars belonging to senior officials and businessmen, after drawing up 6 reports and confirming the non-involvement of the owners.
