Interpol Captures French Drug Trafficking Fugitive in Morocco Port

The Interpol branch in Rabat Interpol proceeded to arrest a Frenchman who was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued against him by the French judicial authorities. He would have been on the run since he was sentenced to six years in prison for drug trafficking.
This arrest took place in the port of Marina Smir in Fnideq, we learn from the daily Al Massae which reports that the operation was a success thanks to the effective intelligence and the tracking of Interpol Morocco.
In a statement, the DGSN indicates that the individual was wanted internationally and was the subject of a red notice issued by the French judicial authorities. He would be the mastermind of a drug trafficking network.
The suspect was placed in custody in accordance with the extradition procedure, and the competent French authorities were notified of this arrest in order to expedite the transfer of the extradition file, specifies the same source.
This arrest is part of the international cooperation relations in the field of security, as well as within the framework of the efforts deployed by the Moroccan security services to track down individuals wanted internationally for cross-border crimes.
The Interpol branch in Rabat has issued 113 international arrest warrants issued by the Moroccan judicial authorities against individuals suspected of crimes. An operation that led to the arrest of 9 suspects wanted internationally. There was also the dissemination by this same branch of 3,029 search notices issued by foreign judicial authorities appearing in the nominal databases relating to individuals wanted at the national level.
