Internet Woes Prompt Moroccan Lawmakers to Question Maroc Telecom Service Quality

The deterioration of Maroc Telecom’s internet services is a concern for parliamentarians. To this effect, the elected members of the Party of Progress and Socialism (PPS) have addressed a written question to the Minister of Industry.
In a written question, the PPS parliamentarians deplored the deterioration of the quality of the internet. They asked the supervising minister what he intends to do to get Maroc Telecom to strengthen the Internet bandwidth in the city of Essaouira and its region, and to preserve the proper functioning of public services, as well as the general interest, reports Le360.
It is following complaints from the inhabitants of the city of Essaouira and its region, denouncing the poor quality of Maroc Telecom’s services, particularly the Internet, ADSL and 4G bandwidth, that the parliamentarians decided to question the supervising minister. For the PPS deputies, the poor quality of Maroc Telecom’s services has caused a lot of damage to the populations of these regions, who make a lot of use of online services.
Moroccan students and pupils are the most penalized, as they are experiencing difficulties in following distance learning courses via the Internet.
