Interfaith Youth Plant Olive Trees at Casablanca’s Synagogue, Church, and Mosque

The fraternity between the three monotheistic religions was again at the center of a meeting last Friday in Casablanca where olive trees were planted near places of worship.
These trees were planted by the junior branch of the Moroccan Pluriels association at the level of a synagogue (Névé shalom), a church (Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes) and a mosque (Haraka Kadiria), reports the 2m channel, which described this gesture as a "beautiful message of peace, solidarity and living together".
"It’s an extraordinary initiative. It brings minds closer, it brings peoples closer and it makes everyone aware that what happened on May 16 (note: the May 16, 2003 attacks in Casablanca) concerns not only Muslim Moroccans, it concerns Moroccans of all faiths," said Rabbi Jacky Sebag.
According to the same source, this initiative also concerned Essaouira, Fez, Marrakech, Rabat, Oujda and Brussels.
