Interfaith Prayer Initiative Unites Morocco Against Coronavirus Pandemic

Faced with the progression of the coronavirus in Morocco, Cardinal Cristobal Lopez Romero, Archbishop of Rabat, has called on Jews, Muslims and Christians to a "pandemic of prayer" this Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at 8 p.m. (local time).
"Against the pandemic of the coronavirus [...], a pandemic of prayer. [...] Let’s all light a candle in front of a window and pray together." These are the words published on his Facebook page by Cardinal Cristobal Lopez Romero, Archbishop of Rabat, who has called on the three religious faiths to pray.
This Wednesday, Jews, Christians and Muslims will have to pray to ward off the evil, the coronavirus. The cardinal asks the Jews to sing the Shema, the Christians the Our Father and the Muslims the Fatiha. These prayers will take place this evening at 8 p.m. (local time) in a low or loud voice, individually, in groups or as a family, indicates the Archbishop of Rabat. He also proposes a common song and/or a minute of silence.
