Influencer Poupette Kenza Resurfaces: From Prison to YouTube Comeback After Extortion Scandal

Nine months after her release from prison, influencer Poupette Kenza, whose real name is Kenza Benchrif, is making a comeback on social media through a video published on YouTube, titled "I’m back".
In this YouTube video, the Snapchat star influencer talks about the last few months of her life, since her release from prison, including the birth of her daughter at the end of November, the forced separation from her partner Allan Liehrmann who was incarcerated until mid-December, her prisoner’s bag, and her family moments. Suspected of having hired a henchman to recover money from a former business partner she accuses of theft, she had been indicted on July 7, 2024 in a case of "attempted extortion in an organized gang" and "criminal conspiracy".
After four months of incarceration at the Rouen remand prison (Seine-Maritime), Poupette Kenza had been released under judicial supervision on October 31 last year. She was pregnant with her third child. She is now awaiting her trial. She is prohibited from contacting the victims and from going to Rouen, where the events took place, according to Le Parisien. The influencer must also report regularly to the police station, attend her court summons, and not leave France.
Why this return to social media? "It’s to reset the counters to zero" and "share the good times" that have happened to me lately and "start over on a good footing," she explains in the video titled "I’m back". She refuses to talk about "the ongoing case," as a documentary will be devoted to this case, which will be released "in several months". She had a hard time with her time in prison. "This ordeal, what I went through, it had to happen. I think I wouldn’t have understood it differently. A lot of things have happened in my life and each time I came back as if nothing had happened," says the 25-year-old woman.
Today, she lives near Angers with her husband and two children, repatriated from Dubai. In Angers, "it’s good to live," assures the influencer to her subscribers. She explains that she likes to "spend healthy moments" with her loved ones, sometimes simple, like going shopping or taking a walk with her children. "It’s been eventful, but we’ve found serenity, love," she says. Now, Kenza sees life differently. "I’m taking my time, I’m listening to myself. I’m not going to come back like before, I need to go at my own pace, I want to impose nothing on myself," she explains. She assures that she is doing everything possible not to "fall back into her old ways," because she knows that it can happen very quickly. She also warns her subscribers about the negative aspects of social media.
