InDrive opens new services in Morocco
The mobility platform inDrive is accelerating its transformation into a "super-app" model by officially deploying its advertising services on the Moroccan market. This initiative aims to diversify the company’s revenues beyond passenger transport by relying on a captive and engaged audience during trips.
InDrive’s overall strategy is now based on the creation of new growth drivers to offset the reduction in margins in the VTC sector. Morocco has been selected among the top 20 global markets to benefit from the deployment of this integrated advertising agency, following successful test phases carried out during 2025, reports Techcrunch. These trials have demonstrated strong interest from banking institutions and major consumer brands for digital placements offering significant visibility during the use of the application.
The advertising offer is primarily focused on formats integrated directly into the mobile interface. Advertisers can thus target users at key moments, particularly during the waiting time after booking a vehicle or when the passenger is already in transit. Although physical advertising on or inside vehicles is part of the company’s long-term plans, inDrive plans to prioritize digital placements until 2026 due to their higher initial profitability and lower operational complexity in emerging markets.
This diversification marks a structural turning point for inDrive, whose transport activity still represented 95% of its revenues a few years ago. Today, the share of secondary services, including advertising and delivery of orders already tested in other markets such as Pakistan, is progressing to now account for around 15% of the overall turnover. InDrive should also eventually integrate the delivery service in Morocco.
