Seriously injured in an accident in the Dominican Republic, Bouthaïna El Arj underwent head surgery. Her family says the clinic is now demanding a guarantee of 40,000 dollars, approximately 400,000 dirhams, to continue treating her.
The 27-year-old Moroccan woman was involved in a road accident while she was in the Dominican Republic. Transported in critical condition, she was suffering, among other things, from internal bleeding in her head.

Doctors had to operate on her urgently. Bouthaïna survived the procedure, but her condition still requires care and medical monitoring.
Her brother, Mohamed Amine El Arj, explains that the clinic is now demanding a financial guarantee deposit of 40,000 dollars to continue treating her, reports Hespress.
Her family issues an urgent appeal
The family says it cannot raise such a sum alone within such a short period. It is therefore appealing for help to finance the continuation of the young woman’s medical care.
Her relatives are also calling for the intervention of the Moroccan authorities and consular services to monitor her situation and facilitate procedures in this country located several thousand kilometers from Morocco.
