Imprisoned Casablanca Surgeon Faces New Allegations in Human Trafficking Case

The case against Dr. Hassan Tazi, the famous Casablanca surgeon imprisoned in Oukacha prison for human trafficking and abuse of weakness, is growing stronger. New accusations have been brought against him.
Dr. Hassan Tazi is accused of having photographed needy patients in order to use them to raise money from benefactors, according to Hespress. Accusations that he flatly rejects, thus calling into question the version of the accused, Zineb B., ranked second in the order of criminal responsibilities in this case. She is an intermediary, recruited for her ability to convince and collect donations. The famous Casablanca surgeon also denies any relationship with her.
A set of patient files for which the Achifa clinic received financial assistance were presented to Hassan Tazi by the investigators. He explained to them that the patient files differ from case to case, and according to the type of health coverage each patient has. Also, he indicated that the value of the key letter "B" varies from 1.3 dirhams to 1.1 dirhams specified under the health insurance scheme. But the study of patient files shows that there was a total overrun of the rate.
