Imam Fatally Stabbed in Agadir Mosque; Suspect Shows Signs of Mental Illness

An imam was stabbed last weekend in Agadir, inside the mosque where he officiated. His alleged aggressor would apparently show signs of mental disorders.
A man who, according to what is said at the moment, shows signs of mental illness would have attacked an imam inside the mosque, using a knife. This happened in Imouzzer des Ida-Outanane, a rural commune in the prefecture of Agadir Ida-Outanane, in the Souss-Massa region.
It is not yet known what prompted this man, whether or not he has psychiatric problems, to attack the religious man within the mosque, with a knife. Is it premeditated? What thought - however crazy it may be - motivates this act?
The imam died from his injuries a few days later. The severity of the blows was decisive, and he could not be saved despite the care he received.
Of course, an investigation has been opened by the police to determine the exact circumstances of the attack.
