Iberia Resumes Daily Flights to Morocco, Connecting Madrid to Marrakech, Casablanca, and Tangier

The airline Iberia has resumed its flights with Morocco, after the reopening of borders on June 15. For this resumption, the Madrid-Marrakech and to Casablanca and Tangier routes are offered.
Iberia offers daily flights between Madrid and Marrakech during the months of July and August. The flights will be operated by A320 aircraft with a capacity of 180 seats.
Five flights per week to Casablanca will be operated with CRJ1000 aircraft from Iberia Regional Air Nostrum with a capacity of 100 passengers, the company specifies, adding that the same types of aircraft will also be used for the three-times-a-week link with Tangier.
Iberia offers round-trip tickets to Marrakech starting at 64 euros, to Tangier starting at 97 euros and to Casablanca starting at 142 euros. Moreover, the company offers travelers the possibility to make free changes to their tickets in case of Covid-19 contamination. It also invites them to consult the health measures in force in Morocco on an interactive map available on its website, before purchasing the tickets.
The resumption of Iberia’s flights to Morocco comes in a context of a major diplomatic crisis opened between the kingdom and Spain, after the reception in April of Brahim Ghali, the leader of the Polisario Front, in a hospital in Logroño. Spain is working behind the scenes to resume cooperation with Morocco.
