Hundreds Rally in Morocco’s Capital to Support Palestinians, Oppose Israel Ties

Hundreds of protesters gathered on Sunday in front of the Parliament in support of the Palestinian people and in opposition to any form of normalization with Israel.
Gathered in front of the Parliament in Rabat, the hundred or so protesters chanted in unison: "Let’s all continue to support the Palestinian cause and oppose normalization," in order to express the firm position of the Moroccan people by considering the Palestinian cause as a national issue.
This initiative aims to denounce ongoing conspiracies against the Palestinian people by Israel. The protesters include about twenty political, trade union, human rights, women’s, youth and association forces. These include the Moroccan Association for Support of the Palestinian Struggle (AMSLP), the National Group for Action for Palestine, the Moroccan Democratic Network of Solidarity with Peoples, the Moroccan Association for Human Rights (AMDH) of the Moroccan Association for Advocacy on National Issues, the Moroccan Coalition for Human Rights Institutions, the Organization for Freedom of Information and Expression-Hatem, the Moroccan Human Rights Commission, the Moroccan Observatory against Normalization, the Badass Maroc movement... etc.
On Sunday, November 27, the King addressed a message to the Chairman of the UN Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People. In his message, Mohammed VI called for overcoming the deadlock in the peace process and intensifying international efforts to relaunch direct negotiations between the Palestinian and Israeli parties.
