An unclassified hotel partially collapsed on Wednesday evening in the old medina of Marrakech. No casualties are to be deplored.
Not far from the Jamaâ El Fna square, a traditional hotel, located in the Bouloukat district, collapsed following renovation work in an adjoining building.
Apart from the considerable material damage, which is due to the dilapidated state of the hotel, the incident fortunately did not cause any casualties.
An investigation has been opened by the Marrakech police elements to determine the exact circumstances of the incident.
