Heavyweight Kickboxing Bout Canceled: Ben Saddik Withdraws from Verhoeven Rematch Due to Injury

The long-awaited fight between Jamal Ben Saddik and Rico Verhoeven will finally not take place on January 30th. The Moroccan has just announced his absence due to injury.
Very little information is filtering through, but according to local media, the Moroccan has just declared himself unfit due to a back injury and asked the Glory organization to postpone his rematch against the Dutchman Rico Verhoeven.
This confrontation was nevertheless highly anticipated by the Moroccan who had on several occasions promised to settle the score once and for all with the Dutchman.
During a press conference organized a few days ago with his opponent, he promised to knock out Verhoeven before the end of the 5 rounds. The response is scathing: "When we’re there, you know what’s going to happen. We don’t have the same level. You’re a good boxer, tall with a nice technique, but I don’t see any danger. By the way, are you in better shape than last time?".
