Health Ministry Forms Oversight Panels to Monitor Covid-19 Care in Private Clinics

Faced with numerous complaints about the treatment of Covid-19 patients in private clinics, the authorities have decided to set up a central commission and regional commissions. Their mission will be to monitor and control the care of infected persons who come to these private clinics.
The central commission is composed of the General Inspectorate of the Ministry, the National Health Insurance Agency (ANAM) and the National Medical Association, indicates a press release from the Ministry of Health, which stresses that it is necessary to continue the coordination of the measures to be taken in the face of the flagrant overruns of the tariff grids for the medical care offered to Covid-19 patients, in certain private clinics.
As for the regional commissions, they are composed of the regional inspectors of the Ministry of Health and representatives of the regional councils of the National Medical Association, in coordination with ANAM. All these decisions were taken during a meeting chaired by the Minister of Health. For Khaled Ait Taleb, it is essential to respect the protocol and the reference tariffs. All private clinics that disregard this regulation will be subject to the rigor of the law, he threatened.
