Google Warns of Android Vulnerability Affecting Millions of Devices

The Minister of the Interior and National Defense has issued an alert to warn of a "Use-after-free" type attack, revealed by Google. This assault concerns certain national users of smartphones operating under Android.
In order to prevent hackers from taking remote control of the targeted devices, allowing them to inject arbitrary code, the computer security researchers of Google’s "Project zero" have initiated the cyber vulnerability "CVE-2019-2215", which has been revealed to the public, reports Hespress.
During the Minister’s intervention, a list of 18 devices potentially affected by this cyber attack was presented, namely Pixel 1/1XL/2/2XL, Huawei P20, Xiaomi Remdi 5A/Note 5/A1, Oppo A3, Motorola Z3, LG Oreo and Samsung S7/S8/S9.
In addition to these elements, the Deputy Minister of National Defense has invited users to "be vigilant, particularly with regard to the information shared by users with the terminals on this list, pending the implementation of a fix".
