Google Doodle Honors Morocco’s 64th Independence Day with Waving Flag

The American group Google is celebrating the 64th anniversary of Morocco’s independence by dedicating a Doodle to it. This year, we have the right to a simple Moroccan flag waving.
Officially, the kingdom only regained its independence on March 2, 1956. But the date of November 18 marks the return from exile of Sultan Mohammed Ben Youssef, the future King Mohammed V, but also the celebration of the pronouncement of his historic speech.
"We are pleased to be able to announce the end of the guardianship and protectorate regime and the advent of freedom and independence," King Mohammed V had declared, before adding: "Morocco is coming out of the small jihad to embark on the great jihad."
Last year, Google had created a "Doodle" with also a floating flag but on an ocher background, very typical of the Kingdom. Previously, the Doodle represented the superb architecture of the Ksar, Aït Ben Haddou.
