Google Dominates Search in Morocco: Over 90% of Internet Users Prefer It

The search engine Google, launched on the Internet on September 27, 1998, celebrates its 23rd anniversary today. During the year 2020, more than 90% of Moroccans used Google "as their main search engine," according to a study.
The statistics portal Statista conducted a study to determine in certain countries the "percentage of internet users who used Google as their main search engine" throughout the year 2020. The study results indicate that more than 90% of internet users in countries like Morocco, Australia, Spain, Italy, Brazil and Mexico prefer this search engine to another.
The biggest users of Google, according to the study, are found in Cuba (96.94%), Venezuela (95.82%) and India (95.27%). Only 6.83% of internet users use this search engine in China.
Developed by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in 1997 but launched in 1998, the Google search engine that has revolutionized the web celebrates its 23rd year of creation today. The key to its success is that it facilitates access to information on the Internet.
