US General Urges Trump: Shift Strategic Bases to Morocco as NATO Tensions Rise

Retired General Robert Greenway, who has held senior positions in the US military, is asking President Donald Trump to transfer the US bases in Rota and Morón to Morocco.
"It’s time to transfer the air bases of Rota and Morón to Morocco," said General Greenway, reacting to a post by the US president on the X network in which he criticized Spain for its position on NATO budgets.
These statements coincide with the visit of a delegation from the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces (FAR) to the US military base in Baumholder, Germany to train on the Patriot air defense system, reports La Razon. On this occasion, the Moroccan delegation witnessed a demonstration of the capabilities of this system, which is capable of intercepting ballistic missiles with great precision, shooting down enemy fighter jets and countering any medium and long-range air threat.
The imminent arrival of Patriot missile launchers (TEL) in Morocco is announced, with a view to equipping an air defense command and control (C2) center. "Morocco is finalizing the acquisition of the latest Patriot PAC-3 MSE system, which will be integrated into a network including the Sky Dragon 50 and the Barak MX, and which may include others later," it is specified.
