Gallup Report: Moroccans Among World's Angriest and Most Pessimistic, Survey Finds

The results of the "Global Emotions 2019" global report conducted by the American statistics institute Gallup classify Moroccans among the "angriest and most pessimistic peoples".

These results contained in this "Global Emotions 2019" report published by the Gallup statistics institute studied the emotions of inhabitants of 140 countries. It emerges that "41% of the Moroccans surveyed said they had been angry the day before the survey, or a little more than 4 out of 10 Moroccans, placing Morocco among the countries where the inhabitants are the most often angry, ahead of the Palestinians (43%), the Iranians (43%), the Iraqis (44%) and the Armenians (45%)".

Furthermore, HuffPost Maroc, which published this information, also reports on the level of pessimism of the Moroccan people, still according to the report. Thus, Morocco would also be among the countries where "people are the most pessimistic, with a rate of 43% of people having felt negative emotions the day before, as much as Uganda, Togo and Congo Brazzaville".

In its approach to establishing the "Global Emotions 2019" report, the American statistics institute Gallup measures people’s daily positive and negative experiences based on "151,000 interviews conducted in 2018 in more than 140 countries with just over 1,000 adults per country". This is how on average in the world, "71% of the people surveyed said they had a lot of pleasure the day before, 72% said they felt well rested, 74% smiled or laughed, and 87% were treated with respect," HuffPost reports on this report.

If in this ranking, we can cite Iran (48%), Iraq (49%), Sierra Leone (50%), Niger (50%) and Chad (54%), as "countries that have experienced the most negative emotions", it should be noted that it is the Latin American countries that are leading the ranking of nations where the inhabitants are the most optimistic, with Paraguay (85%), Panama (85%), Guatemala (84%), Mexico (84%) and El Salvador (83%) in the lead.
