Gad Elmaleh Announces 2020 Comeback Tour Amid Plagiarism Controversy
Gad Elmaleh is returning to the stage in 2020. The Moroccan comedian will present his show in which he will talk at length about the accusations of plagiarism.
"D’ailleurs" is the name of the show that the Franco-Moroccan artist promises will be "funny" and "honest". Gad Elmaleh announced this return to the stage in France on December 4.
From April 28, 2020, he will criss-cross the country with this 6th show described as "breathtaking" by the organizers. He will also perform in Geneva on December 15, 2020 and in Brussels on February 6, 2021.
Gad Elmaleh has been in a kind of self-questioning since he was accused of plagiarizing his American colleagues to write his shows. He initially just trivialized the matter through comic lines. But faced with the scale of the controversy, he acknowledged that there was some truth to the accusations of the Internet user.
If he had to do it again, "I wouldn’t do it, but I don’t regret it because I’ve never been in a malicious approach". "I have relationships with those I was inspired by, none of them have ever complained," he said.
