Fundraiser Launched to Repatriate Body of Rouen Worker Killed in Tragic Accident

The family of Amine, a 39-year-old man who died tragically at the Zara store in Rouen on September 1, has launched an appeal for the generosity of potential donors to help repatriate the body and organize the funeral in Morocco.

Amine’s family does not have enough money to finance the return of the remains and the funeral of the 39-year-old Rouennais in Morocco. It has therefore set up an online kitty to raise the necessary funds. Amine had been working for several years in the family multi-service company Rouen dépannage services run by his wife. On September 1, the nearly forty-year-old had been the victim of a fatal work accident while repairing a leak at the Zara store in Rouen, reports Paris Normandie.

"As he was fixing a last screw, he fell head first on the tile floor before sliding down the stairs," recounts his sister-in-law Najate. His wife witnessed the scene. "She witnessed the whole scene," says Najate. "It was she who gave him cardiac massage and called the emergency services. For her, it was brutal. She is in shock." He suffered multiple fractures and had been admitted in critical condition to the Rouen University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Najate remembers him as a "very smiling person, a very good worker, always joyful, who had his whole life ahead of him".
