Fuel Shortage Leads to Patient Death in Moroccan Ambulance Transfer

A patient, around forty years old, died during evacuation. The cause of this tragedy is a fuel shortage that has caused outrage and indignation in Youssoufia.
The regional hospital of Youssoufia never stops with the scandals. It was negatively highlighted a second time, after the recent death of a pregnant woman, following medical negligence.
According to the daily Al Massae, the deceased suffered from a kidney disease. After medical tests carried out, due to a sudden increase in his blood pressure, he was to be transferred to the Marrakech hospital to receive the necessary care.
The ambulance that was about to evacuate him to the ochre city did not have enough fuel to make the trip. The same daily reports that the officials tried in vain to reach the financial director of the hospital.
Faced with this embarrassing situation, several people present tried to collect the necessary amount to refuel the ambulance in order to evacuate the patient. Unfortunately, the latter did not survive.
