French Women Caught with 29 kg of Cannabis at Marrakech Airport

The security services at Marrakech-Menara International Airport arrested, on Sunday, February 2, two French women of Moroccan origin aged 21 and 22. They are allegedly involved in an international drug trafficking case.
The arrest of the first took place at the entrance of the terminal, while that of the second took place in the public hall of the airport as they were about to board a plane bound for Paris, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
According to the same source, the control of their luggage led to the seizure of 29 kilograms of cannabis resin, evenly distributed between them, and packaged in the form of 290 tablets hidden among their belongings in spaces specially designed for this purpose.
Pending the identification of other individuals suspected of being involved in this criminal act, the persons concerned have been taken into custody.
