French Schools in Morocco Resume In-Person Classes with COVID-19 Precautions

The schools in the French educational network in Morocco have decided, on the instructions of the Ministry of National Education, to proceed with the school year scheduled for this October 1st, in person.
Teaching will be done in person for all French schools, including the Lycée français International André Malraux (LFIAM) in Rabat, the Lycée Descartes, the Jacques Chirac School Group, with the possibility of benefiting from distance learning for students whose families opt for this mode, indicates a note from the embassy.
However, all establishments are required to ensure that barrier gestures, in particular the wearing of masks and physical distancing, are respected in the school environment.
As further explained by the department of Saaid Amzazi, this decision comes following the good progress of the national vaccination campaign in general and the vaccination campaign for 12-17 year olds, in addition to those aged 18 and over in particular, as well as the improvement of the epidemiological situation in our country in recent weeks.
