French Schools in Morocco Adopt 36-Week Calendar, Aligning with Education Code

After the postponement to October 1 of the 2021-2022 school year, the Service for Cooperation and Cultural Action (SCAC) of the French Embassy in Morocco has unveiled the school calendar, announcing a return to the 36 weeks of schooling provided for by the Education Code in France.
The schools and high schools of the French education network in Morocco will start the school year on October 1 to remain in line with the decision taken by the Minister of Education.
Thus, according to the French Embassy in Morocco, this "school calendar is established on the regulatory basis set by the Education Code of 36 weeks with 4 vacation periods, with an unchanged end of the year on July 5, constrained by the national exams."
The diplomatic representation explains that the advantage of this calendar is to allow students and staff to rest during each quarter. In this new calendar, we note a five-day break in the first quarter. The February holidays have been shortened and those of the spring exams and necessary for the revisions have been preserved.
